Restroom Selfies #2

The second edition is here: A new collection of selfies taken during the mandatory restroom visit, within the frame of our culinary explorations.

1. Gorlomi

It is obvious that an effort has been made here, maybe with less impact than intended (similar to Gorlomi itself) but let’s not start off on a grumbling note.

2. Ex Machina

There’s a quirky, blooming surprise! Ex Machina‘s restroom set up is primed for restroom selfies and photos of all kinds (mirror could do with a bit of a wiping though). Approachable and fun, in the spirit of the restaurant.

3. Lolita’s Athens

Lolita’s restroom photographs well, almost as if designed to satisfy appearances, but don’t be fooled: it is far less impressive than it looks. Exactly like the restaurant!

4. Nyn Esti

Neutral, reminiscent of an institutional space – fair enough, since the restaurant is housed in a museum. Given how impressed we were with Nyn Esti however, I would have appreciated a bit of an extra effort.

5. 10 Urban Roof

Eye-catching at first glance, onwards somewhat overdone, somewhat off – in line with 10 Urban Roof‘s overall style.

6. Nebbiolo

Dramatic colour combinations check, interesting textures check, flattering lighting check – Nebbiolo‘s restroom is instagram approved and worth a visit, as is the restaurant (we love a lazy lunch here).

7. Humain Athens

Beautifully orchestrated restroom environment within a beautifully orchestrated culinary experience. Humain by Jul’s simply hits all the buttons.

8. Makris

Makris outperforms most restaurants in sophistication and classiness. The restroom doesn’t quite live up to the overall standard I am afraid but this is not a deal-breaker.

9. Travolta

Zero expectations here – you visit Travolta for the food alone. With that in mind I am quite happy with the rather interesting composition that resulted from the restroom visit.

10. Vezene

Vezene‘s tiny restroom is expertly designed to photographically perform. This is a nice, if somewhat overpriced, experience. In any event, dramatic enough to win cover photo.
